Ode to Raana takes place in the northern parts of the abandoned mega colony of Ikaanos, roughly 50 years after the rise of the Prometheus confederation.

The player starts in the lawless outskirts between the Hakusan Empire and Lake City, where a civil war has turned the once-thriving country side into a warlord infested wasteland.
